Matthew & Ruth Hillier - In 1989 change took place in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe; Christian prisoners were released and returned to their homes. The great need of these believers led Matthew Hillier to form CMIAID which has sent over 80 containers packed with Bibles, literature, clothing, food, medical supplies and a wide range of equipment to Russia and the former Soviet Bloc.
In 2011 Matthew married Ruth and they continue to serve in the Lord’s work together. They now live in Moldova where much of the work of CMIAID is focused, and where a number of new projects are under way. Matthew and Ruth are commended to the work by Eastwood Christian Fellowship, their home assembly in Sydney, Australia.

Tim and Jenny Gooding, both saved during their early years, were commended from Sunnymede Chapel, Billericay and have been serving the Lord in Romania since December 2002. Initially working alongside Prison Fellowship with a ‘Mother & Child Centre, in 2007 began the construction of their home and a proposed Children’s home. This project did not materialize, but they saw a great need to provide affordable accommodation to cancer patients who came to Cluj for their Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy treatments. This has given them many opportunities to witness to them about the Lord Jesus, while providing a quiet place to stay. Tim gives regular Bible ministry at the Cluj Assembly to which they are members. Jenny runs an English speaking Ladies Bible study group each Tuesday morning.
