Profiles of speakers for our 2016 conference
Ron Penny was responsible for taking the first OM team overland to India in 1963. Lilo, travelled out, the same way, two years later. In 1967 they married in Calcutta. Lilo (from Frankfurt) changed her nationality in order to stay on in India. Now Ron is exploring the possibility of taking Indian citizenship in order to stay in India. After 13 years with OM in India, which included 4 more overland trips bringing more young people from the west, they served the Lord through the Bible Society of India and UBS. 13 years later they pioneered Workers Together to mobilise and train India's assembly young people in vibrant and challenging outreach programmes in unreached areas. Hundreds were mobilised and motivated to obey the Lord and take the Good News to the lost. Their lives were turned “upside down” as they experienced God's faithfulness as they obeyed His command to go! In 1994, while continuing to encourage many commended, but extremely poor workers in North India, Ron & Lilo added the ministries of Kollegal Girls' Home and School which has about 700 children and is 90 miles south of Bangalore. The Lord is still looking for men and women who fit the description given in Acts 15:26.
Tim & Sarah M. are commended from their assembly in Warrington. They served the Lord at Murree Christian School in Pakistan between 2000 and 2002. Since 2007 they have been living in Southeast Asia, teaching God's word to local believers, and equipping them for service. Tim’s varied roles include working with drug addicts, the homeless, ex pats, students and young people. Sarah teaches local ladies in small groups and one-on-one, as well as providing hospitality in the home. In order to maintain a visa, Tim operates a small business teaching English to children, and Sarah serves at an international school.

The Society for Distributing Hebrew Scriptures was founded in 1940 by a Jewish believer. Its purpose was to bring the Word of God, free of charge to Jewish people in bilingual format. That is, Hebrew on one page and another language appropriate to the recipient on the other. Eric Browning joined the work in 1976 as Office Manager and became General Secretary in 1988. The work has grown steadily over the years but in recent years the growth has been rapid. We now publish the Old Testament in bilingual format in 8 languages and the New Testament 13 formats. Joy Browning is a distributor with other colleagues and has witnessed a remarkable transformation in the reception of the Word during
recent years. Copies of all Scriptures will be available at the meeting.
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.’ Psalm 119:105.

Joe and Naomi Wyatt serve the Lord in Tottenham. They work intensively with many of the addicted and homeless people that live and pass through their area. This involves opening their home to these people and building relationships through practical help and care; spreading the Gospel is easier when folk realise they are truly loved. This ministry has developed to include running a halfway house program for men coming off the streets or out of prison and helping them reintegrate into society, find jobs and new hobbies while introducing them to the Saviour. Bible studies and various courses are offered and the men have heard and understood the gospel message
